Since its establishment in 1991, The Imperial College has been in the forefront of the efforts to establish an institutional framework within which higher educational institutions could be evaluated and accredited. The College is well recognized by the industry, academia and the government for its academic quality and institutional integrity.

The Imperial College is Chartered as a degree-awarding institution by the Government of Punjab, Pakistan (Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore. Ordinance 2002, Punjab Ordinance No. XIX of 2002).

Degree programs are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (formerly the University Grants Commission)*, Government of Pakistan and also recognized internationally.
