PROJECTS

As usual, Imperial College of Business Studies has taken a step forward and is among one of the first institutions to do something in corporate social responsibility, an issue that cannot be left to leading multinationals and local corporations alone, an area, where each one of us, being a privileged member of the society must participate.

Leadership and Community Development (LCD) program is more than a creative endeavor, it has a solid function and strong cause. It aims to produce sensitive and responsible young men and women by combining the concepts of ‘doing well’ with ‘doing good’. It intends to bind the local community and campus in an eternal relationship by providing economic, social, emotional and intellectual assistance to as many people as possible.

The mission of LCD is to prepare the students to become productive and contributing members of society by getting involved, finding what is happening in the community and ‘MAKING a DIFFERENCE’.

LCD was in incubation since the beginning of this year, but its pioneering project (ComAid) was floated in Summer 2003. Some of the projects designed by students include:

Community Aid Pakistan (ComAid)
Challenged Geniuses
Vision of Life
Threads of Potential
Saya
Thalessaemia Society of Pakistan

Community Aid Pakistan (ComAid)
Hope
