Research Program

For M. Phil program candidate is required to complete 24 credit hours of course work along with a minimum of 6 credit hours of research work. For MS program candidate may be allowed to do course work of 6 credit hours in lieu of 6credit hours of research. This exemption may be possible when student wishes to obtain only MS degree and doesn’t want to carry on with the Ph.D. program.

The MS/M.Phil program runs for one and a half years. The degree is a combination of course work and research. The first year of full-time studies is devoted to course work whereas research is conducted during the final half year of the program.

Phase –I
The first year of the program is structured to ensure that participants build a broad based knowledge and skills. During this phase, the participants will be required to take course work comprising of 8 courses of 3 credit hours each (24 credit hour).

Phase –II
During the second phase the participants will be required to submit a research proposal on an approved topic through an assigned supervisor. The research topic once approved, the participant will be given six months to complete the thesis on this approved research topic and submit to the Academic Council for its evaluation and approval.

  • Degree Requirement

 

 

Have at least 16 years of education/BBA (Hons)

B.Com (Hons), Old MBA, MPA, M. Com, ACMA, ACA or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2.5/4.0 Cumulative GPA

Or 1st Division from HEC Recognized Institution

  • NTS (GAT-General) with at least 50 % marks
