Imperial
College of Business Studies (ICBS),
chartered by the Government of Punjab as a degree awarding institution,
is ISO 9001: 2000 certified. The certification was given
after the quality management system of ICBS was assessed and audited by
Moodys International, a UK based agency that certifies organizational
quality systems for compliance with standards specified by the International
Standards Organization (ISO). Moodys is accredited by United Kingdom
Accreditation Services (UKAS) the sole national accreditation
body recognized by the British government to assess, against internationally
agreed standards, organizations that UKAS demonstrates the competence,
impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators. Moodys is
also accredited by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council
(PNAC), Government of Pakistan.
ICBS
standards for design, delivery and assessment of quality degree programs
are compliant with the ISO standards. ICBS is the first business school
in Punjab, private or public sector, to earn this international validation
which is awarded only to those organizations that meet global standards
of quality management systems. On this occasion, the Rector of the Imperial
College, Dr. Azmat Abbas Syed stated “as important as this milestone
may be, our objective remains continuous improvement in the provision
of quality teaching and learning experience for the faculty and students
in an environment that is supportive, caring, relevant and efficient”.
He further added “this landmark is an outcome of concerted efforts
of each an every member of faculty and staff and is another affirmation
of nearly 15 years of focus on academic quality at ICBS. While we celebrate
this achievement, out efforts to create a service orientation and a learning
environment consistent with international norms and practices shall continue”.
