Objectives for Pedalogy

  • To affirm that “Support” courses interact with and substantiate the “Major” course;

  • To facilitate students in crafting their career paths;

  • To ensure that only those students who demonstrate their aptitude for architecture in the “Foundation Level” enter “Formative Level” of B.Arch. Program;

  • To manage architectural education to have formal interaction with other art forms, and support from engineering and information technology;

  • To nurture design-ability, presentation skills and technical proficiency;

  • To develop linkage between education in academia and practice in market;

  • To offer modular system of continuous education;

  • To instill collaborative skills so that architecture students lead in interdisciplinary environments;

  • To inculcate critical, analytical, and rational thinking, cultural heritage, sociology, and ecology as approach to design;

  • To foster creativity and innovation in the pursuit of professional excellence; and

  • To enable students to comprehend theoretical basis of design and conduct research.
